Stefan Frank is partner in the Banking & Finance Team and has more than 15 years of experience in advising credit institutions, payment and e-money institutions, investment firms, investment fund managers and insurance companies. Stefan is listed as a “Next Generation Partner” in Banking and Finance in Austria by Legal 500 (EMEA Edition 2023) and is also listed as a “Rising Star Partner” in the IFLR1000 Edition 2023.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Began his career at  Binder Grösswang in 2008
  • Legal expert at the Raiffeisen-Holding NÖ-W credit institution group from 2013 to 2015
  • Has been with Binder Grösswang since 2016
  • Completed his studies and doctorate at the University of Vienna in 2006 (Mag. iur and Dr. iur.)
  • Postgraduate degree (LL.M.) from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2008
  • Regularly publishes on current legal problems in the field of financial services and gives lectures at training courses

  • Registration of first Austrian Crypto AIF
  • Advising BNP Paribas on the Austrian branch of an UCITS-management company
  • Advising Robeco Switzerland Ltd on the requirements for an AIFM-license
  • Advising Lazard Global Investment Funds on the distribution of funds
  • Advising Credit Suisse on the requirements of funds managing and distribution
  • Advising Allianz Invest KAG on the accounting requirement for funds
  • Advising Barclays Bank PLC on fund management requirements
