CARREER

Anne-Gaëlle is part of Ogier’s investment management and fund formation team. She is also part of Ogier’s multi-disciplinary Private Equity team. She advises financial institutions, asset managers, and investment firms (across Europe, the USA, and Asia) on the structuring and reorganisation of Luxembourg regulated and unregulated investment vehicles, with a particular focus on alternative strategies (including private equity, debt, venture capital, real estate, and infrastructure). She also advises institutional investors on due diligence aspects of their investments. Recently, Anne-Gaëlle has been advising on the establishment of several complex PE and Credit cross-border fund structures, including parallel funds and master-feeder structures.

Anne-Gaëlle specialises in all aspects of fund formation and capital raising for Luxembourg funds, with broad experience in providing structuring advice for fund sponsors as well as LP advisory services. She is recognised as a regulatory expert in the industry.

Anne-Gaëlle is recommended by The Legal 500 EMEA, Leaders League and Who’s who Legal.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduated in 2005 with a Master of Law from the University of Louvain in Belgium with Magna Cum Laude (High Honours).
  • Admitted to the Belgium Bar in 2006.
  • Admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2011 (Liste IV) and 2014 (Liste I).

EXPERIENCE (INVESTMENT FUNDS)

  • Anne-Gaëlle has almost 20 years of experience in the legal profession. She regularly advises on complex and innovative fund structures in the PE and Debt sectors, acting for PE houses, private credit asset managers, banks, and family offices, among others. Anne-Gaëlle also leads Ogier’s ESG initiative in Luxembourg.
  • Anne-Gaëlle is a respected voice in the industry and is a member of several associations, including Women in Fund Finance, IBA, and ALFI. She also gives training sessions at Abilways Luxembourg.
  • She has been a panel member at various industry forums (ALFI, LPEA, and IBA) and will be participating as a panellist in IBA’s workshop on “Global Regulatory Trends and Developments” in March 2025.
  • Co-author of an article on the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) and its impact on private fund managers in The Investment Lawyer with Stuart Fross (Foley & Lardner). She also published an article in September 2021 entitled “Fund Structuring Options: Using Parallel Funds to Improve Capital Formation.”
  • Anne-Gaëlle was counsel and head of the Regulatory and Investment Management department of the Luxembourg office of a French law firm. She has been working for law firms in Luxembourg since 2005, including a stint in Hong Kong and the fund structuring department of a Luxembourg bank.
